Been involved in an Accident?
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT
Make sure, where possible, to pull over and that you are safe from on-coming traffic. If you are unable to do so leave the car where it is until Emergency Services arrive. Remember to make sure you and your passengers are safe on the side of the road away from traffic.
- Remember to put on your hazard lights.
- Apply your handbrake
- Turn the engine off
- Make sure all passengers are safe and no-one is injured.
- Call 000 if there is an emergency
- Relax and take a moment to calm down.
- Check that all vehicles involved are safely out of the way and that all other drivers involved are safe – call 000 if there is an emergency

- Take a photo of the other drivers Licence or write down all details below.
- Take photos of the damage on all vehicles involved.
Once you have made sure everyone involved is safe remember to collect the following information:
- Names of All Parties involved/Contact Numbers
- Witness Names and Contact Information
- Details of Insurance Company of Other Drivers
